AMAZING Video of a Twirling Finback Whale—Protect Whales from Killing in Name of Science

Although people started to save the whales in 1986 with the worldwide whaling ban, more than 30,000 whales have been killed since the ban, many of these because so-called "scientific whaling" is allowed under an international loophole.

Some whales continue to live up to an hour after being speared with an explosive harpoon, which is supposed to provide “instantaneous” death. Others are shot full of bullets to be finished off, feeling the agony of multiple gunshot wounds before slowly dying. The painful killing of whales does not benefit science, whales or people. Research conducted in this manner is completely unnecessary, as other humane methods for collecting identical data already exist.

Let's expose the illegal trade in whale products, transform the “scientific” whaling model to one that is ecologically sound, and promote whale watching instead of whaling.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D Available in July 1—an IMAX 3D Experience

Yesterday I was lucky enough to see a 20 minute preview of Transformers: Dark of the Moon in all its 3D glory.
Much has been made of the way this third Transformers film uses 3D. Basically, they’re saying that this movie does it ‘right’, like Avatar did, and like most films fail to do.
Transformers director Michael Bay is a convert to 3D – he had previously dismissed 3D movies as ‘gimmicks’. But that was before Avatar was released and since then Bay has become a big fan, and a bosom buddy of James Cameron.
From what I saw today, fans should celebrate the fact that Bay is now a 3D director. He has produced a brilliant looking movie that does indeed put 3D technology to great use to heighten the experience.

Synopsis
Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

Michael Jackson Tribute A Capella Cover - P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing) - Mike Tompkins

"P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. The original demo version of the song was written by Jackson and Greg Phillinganes. It is the sixth single from Jackson's sixth solo album, Thriller (1982). Quincy Jones passed on the song itself but liked the title and, with James Ingram, fashioned a totally new song with that title. Two of Jackson's sisters, Janet and La Toya, provided backing vocals in the guise of the P.Y.T.s.

"P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" was released on September 19, 1983, as the penultimate single from Thriller. The single charted at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 46 on the R&B singles chart, becoming the sixth Top 10 hit from the album. In the UK, the song reached a peak position of 11. The single was most successful in Belgium, charting within the Top 10 at number 6. "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" has been covered and sampled by numerous artists, including Monica, Justin Guarini and Kanye West. The original demo was also remixed by The Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am for Thriller 25.

"P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" was never performed live by Jackson. Currently it was performed by Mike Tompkins and his YouTube video has been in the most shared list. Download YouTube video here and convert to iPhone for extensive video enjoyment.

App Makes Your iPad 2 Transparent: Have You Ever Used Invisible iPad 2?

If you loved the i3D app which tracks your eye movement through the iPad 2′s front camera to create an illusion of a glasses-free 3D display, here's another entertainment entry that you'd want to show off to your friends. It attempts to make your tablet's display "invisible" by employing some back-camera wizardry in conjunction with accelerometer and gyroscope data.

In a nutshell, the program tracks the movement of your iPad and updates the display accordingly in order to keep the background image aligned as if the display were transparent. Plus, you can load up your own image and turn it into an endless Kaleidoscope-like browsable surface. The program also responds to perspective tilt and throws realistic shadows for some added wow. Developer Levity Novelty conveniently calls it Invisibility. You like? It's a 99 cent download from the App Store. Two more clips right below…
