Kung Fu Panda 2 is a sequel that delivers more heart than laughs, and is, if anything, more visually dazzling than the 2008 original film.

Cuddly, plush Po (voiced by Jack Black) is now a reasonably accomplished and competent Dragon Warrior, a sixth member of the Furious Five, meting out justice with his mad Kung Fu skills. Nyan Cat, also known as Pop Tart Cat, is an 8-bit animation depicting a cat with the body of a cherry pop tart flying through outer space. While such absurd themes like flying kittens and pastry cats have been around for some time, the surreal humor behind this particular combination has captivated YouTubers and online art communities, spawning dozens of fan illustrations as well as receiving some mainstream coverage in April 2011.

The Pop Tart Cat animation was posted on the daily comics site LOL-COMICS run by illustrator prguitarman on April 2nd, 2011. Prior to the Pop Tart Cat, prguitarman had already gained a relatively large audience with a few other instances of comics circulating on the web. The GIF animation was also reblogged via Tumblr on April 2nd, 2011, accumulating over 3,000 notes (likes & reblogs) in its first two weeks:

On April 5th, 2011, YouTuber sarajoon posted a video titled Nyan Cat, using comic artist prguitarman’s Pop Tart Cat animation set to the well-known Japanese Vocaloid song Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya by Japanese artist daniwellP looping in the background. The video gained over one million views in its first two weeks.

Mildon, 24, stomped the three rotations perfectly during the free-to-the-public BMX show in his home-town.

A representative of the Guinness Book Of World Records was on hand to witness and approve the ground-breaking trick that is sure to send shockwaves through the two-wheeled action-sports industry.

"This is the perfect result to three intensive months of practising and training for this moment," said a thrilled Mildon.

"The impact and implications hasn't sunken in yet, but I'm so pumped to have aimed for something once deemed impossible and made my dream a reality."

"Landing with both wheels on the downramp was the most amazing feeling in the world!"

The Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam in Taupo was held at a public recreational park, with Mildon carving an 20m (66ft) high super-ramp into a hillside that flowed through a 3.6m (11ft) high super-kicker to Jed's purpose-built Mega-Megabox landing.

Unit founder Paul Everest congratulated Mildon on his amazing feat.

"Jed has proven himself to be one of the world's best BMX riders and we salute him for having both the drive and ability to change the face of action-sports.

"He has shown the world what is possible if you take your dream and single-mindedly chase your goals without being distracted or listen to the critics and naysayers."

The Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam was made possible with the help of Unit, Bikefest and Taupo District Council, MB Century, McDonald's Taupo, theairbag.co.nz, foampit.co.nz and Pilgrim Bike Co.
