Top 10 Must-see Summer Movies

The Tree of Life

It is an original movie of dramatics ambition and poetic grandeur which will come out in this summer. Starring Brad Pitt as a 1950s husband and the father of a boy who grows up to be Sean Penn, the upcoming film believes in holding its details close, a habit for director Terrence Malick, a genuine master craftsman.




This is the final chapter in Harry Potter saga with young wizard Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) growing up into a life outside of Hogwarts. Besides, there is the great Alan Rickman, as Snape, seizing the role he was born to play and bring to fruition. J.K.Rowling left her seven Potter novels in the best Hollywood hands.


Cowboys & Aliens

If it does not fall on its fat-budget ass, this science fiction might just make a difference in a summer when you think you have seen everything before, and probably have. Imagine John Wayne having a close encounter of the third kind and you will get some ideas of what 1875 cowpokes Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford face when allies invade their sagebrush territory. Director Jon Favreau wants to be very, very afraid.


Green Lantern

A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.


Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Director Michael Bay returns for the third time to prove he is the perfect robot director for a movie about robots. Expect huge grosses and another notch in the decline and fall of Western civilization.


Thor

It will be the first major blockbuster of the summer season, and what an opening act to start off with. With an all-star cast which including Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and the great Anthony Hopkins as Thor's father, Odin—you can bet good money on this being a highly enjoyable thrill ride that you won't want to miss out on.


Super 8

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth—something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.


Pirates of the Carribbean: On Stranger Tides

Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica, Captain Jack Sparrow is not sure if it is love—or if she is a ruthless con artist who is using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne's Revenge", the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he does not know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past.


Bad Teacher

It is an upcoming 2011 comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan based on a screenplay by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, and starring Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, and Jason Segel. The film is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on June 17 and in the United States and Canada on June 24, 2011.


Bridesmaids

A 2011 American comedy written by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, directed by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow, Barry Mendel, and Clayton Townsend. The plot centers on Annie (Wiig) and her experiences as maid of honor in Lillian's (Maya Rudolph) wedding.
